Sisters of the Fire

Sisters of the Fire

A Poem by Sher{alynn} Veron{ica}
"

A poem about a sister and a friend

"

Warrior girl

Always looking to the sun

Never planted down

You were always on the run

A captive to no one

Neither man nor beast

Could ever break you down

Coz in your heart beats

The song that never sleeps

That longing for the one

Who saves you when your time comes

A warmth that burns in all who know you

You're the ring of fire that binds us forever

Will I ever break our pride

The answer, never

You craved for something more

You were bent but not broken

I would offer you my life

As a token

The need to be free

The time to let go

You never did see

You were ready to soar

My friend, my companion

You are worthy of so much more

You bring her alive in your words.. stun us with her strength and make us long to know one like this.. bent but never broken. A life worth writing poetry about and inspiring us all.
