Leaving a piece of me behind

This is a poem about someone i have loved over the years but had to leave them because of moving.

As i watch you fall asleep,
My eyes tear up with saddness,
Just knowing i cant watch you group up,
It makes me fill with maddness,
But this is something i have to do,
I have to leave to care for you,
I know this doesnt make much sense,
Give it a few years,
You'll figure it out then.
I am sorry for leaving you,
I wish that i could stay,
My hopes and dreams are here,
But you'll need them for another day,
You'll grow up,
You'll be so beautiful,
I know you'll make me proud,
Its time for me too go my darling,
Ill be loving you,
Ill be watching you,
Ill be waiting for you to find me again
