A Poem by shoaib rafi

Hope is trivial here.
Contempt is a daily companion.
And yet, the sun rises--every single day.
It hangs there till dusk,
In a merciless sky.

...

And some lonely, despair-drenched youth
Will keep staring--
Unblinking--
At that sun.

Even though
His soot-stained eyes will melt.
Even though
His face will burn.

Still.
Still--he will keep looking.
Relentlessly.

...
