The Seasons Deep WithinA Poem by AugustusA sonnet about the swirl of human emotions
The seasons deep within are swift to change
Akin to whims and fancies of a child Their shifting patterns beautiful and strange As over minds they scamper free and wild Sweet smiles can radiate the warmth and light Which Spring bestows upon the grassy plain And anger burns the soul like Summer's blight The dark clouds of bereavement signal pain The Autumn days bring ephemeral peace With leaves of fulfillment strewn on the path With ardent love's demise the silent breeze Abruptly turns to Winter's icy wrath For neither sun nor snow can stay their Dance Entrapped in mysterious webs of Chance © 2010 AugustusFeatured Review
