My little tree house

My little tree house

A Poem by leigh

I was sitting alone in my little tree house

Happily playing alone

Then you came along

You asked if you could join me

I said yes

It was fun having someone to share my little tree house with

Whenever you came by

There was always fun and laughter

I thought I was happy on my own

I never thought there was anything missing

Until you came along

And filled my world with so many sweet memories

I felt complete with your presence

Then one day you stopped coming

I waited every day for you to come

Days turned into weeks

Weeks turned into months

I waited patiently

When I saw you one day

I asked you why

Your only answer was silence

I knew that something was wrong

But you said it was nothing

I knew what your answer would be

But I hoped that my instinct was wrong

Then one day you finally came again

And told me that you have found someone else to play with

My heart was shattered

How could you be so unfair?

It was you who wanted to come play with me first

I never asked you to

When I started believing in you

And accepting you into my life

You started to pull away

I wanted to cry

But my tears just won't come

You came and gave me hope

But you left me with a broken heart

No medicine in this world could heal my heart

You have left a permanent scar in me

A familiar story, but an unusual setting. Whether you are a child or a grownup, it hurts when you're abandoned for another. A very sweet and sad story, Shuehleigh.
