I Once Fell Into The Sky

i once fell into the sky.
carried by moonlight
and a breadth of wind,
i fell into the stars.
sweet embrace of night
carried me along the rings of Saturn
danced with me past Jupiter
and Neptune

i once fell into the sky
and never did i look back.
behind me lay mother earth
but mother no more.
mother had died with pollution
and war
and hate

i once fell into the sky
my tears as rain upon the home i shed
to find my place amongst the night
and her stars so bright yet so dim

i once fell into the sky
fell further into darkness
while searching for light
light long lost
where it had been forgotten
