The Mask

I'm a man of many faces

Around everyone I play pretend

And in various cases

You might think I'm your friend

I wear a different mask for everyone I know

Adapting myself just to fit in

My life has been a big show

And I ignored the voices from within

The mask offers me safety

Fooling my friends in a method tried and true

The mask makes life easy

But when it boils down to it, who's fooling who?
