VampyreA Poem by Andreas PelonisThis is about a vampire stalking his prey.
He gazes into the city lights Searching for someone who can sate his tastes Delights.. Walking… Talking… Unaware of his silent stalking A young woman In Distress Creeps trying to take off her dress She struggles and flee's Leaving her purse Not knowing this is just the beginning of the worst Frightened… Alone.. She wanders "Perfect" The vampyre thinks as he draws closer So close He can hear her pulse "Is somebody there?" She asks, voice quivering in fear "I gave you my money..Leave me alone." Her cries muffled by terror and tears "Are you lost?" A voice questions from the unknown.. "No, leave me alone…" She replies to the shadows "Alright" As he comes into sight She stands there And at first backs up in fright Looks into his eyes "Do I know you?" "Define, "know" He says slyly As he gets closer to his prey "Yes, I suppose you do.." "….or will." With that he grabs her Like he expects, she puts up no fight Just gazes at his hypnotic stare Unaware that this will be her last night As a human… He bares his fangs and sinks them in near her collar bone She gasps A tear running down her cheek Meekly she, at last, tries to pull away To late she has already lost to much He lets go of her and she tumbles to the cement "Lament your life." "And be rebourne" He grins wickedly as he fades away into the night … © 2008 Andreas PelonisAuthor's Note
