Yearning for escape

So tell me you wanna runaway 

To a place nobody knows me 

I’m sick in here 

I need some new people in here 

I know this place too much 

To appreciate it like I used to do 

 

Wish I could go back to childhood 

Where everything you saw was all you needed 

And new adventures were everywhere 

I’ve known this place for now so long 

Wanna find a new part of me in the unknown 

 

I’m losing myself in the routine 

Not giving me the opportunity 

I know I deserve to grow 

And build something new in me

Wow this write touches my heart because I'm 64 years and all I can is remember when I was a kid, I had to go back and read again, were old dogs but if we try we can learn new tricks, love this write, very inspirational. Thank you for sharing.

How strange that you should write and post your words because folk do have moments - lengthy ones too , when life seems to be at standstill and it could be that moving on, leaving familiar places and faces seems to be the right thing to do... and that done will be so fresh and adventurous one will stay put forever more.
