Finally

Finally

A Poem by SlightlyOdd

Once again,

Whirring, spinning, never ending.

cannot sleep.

My eyes are heavy,

and I try

not to want

to finally sleep.

I know my dreams aren't pleasant.

Otherwise I'd want to remember them.

Still I wish for them.

Cloying, clawing, suffocating,

I don't care.

Just for a single moment,

let my world fade,

like paint in the sun.

So I can no longer see it

Let me "yawn"

finally sleep,

just from now till...

'Tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wished. To die, to sleep,
To sleep, perchance to Dream; Aye, there's the rub,
For in that sleep of death, what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,

but not forever,not yet
