Imagination

Imagination

A Poem by S L Weiss

Imagination

Take a breath of fresh air!
Look up into the endless sky.
Have not a worry or care.
Release your spirit to fly.

Drift away on a cloud,
Lazily floating up there.
Feel the joy, laugh out loud.
Open your heart and share.

Leave your troubles far below.
Imagine them growing small.
Then ask the wind to blow,
to lift and scatter them all.

Our spirit yearns to feel free.
Nurtured so it is able to hold.
Riches in life, that we cannot see,
worth more than silver or gold.

Fantasy creates light for the soul.
Hopes and dreams come alive.
The pieces within become whole,
our inner child to revive.

When what was whimsical begins to fade.
Our spirit once again losing sight.
Our imagination must persuade,
our fantasy to once again delight.
