Until The Last Flame Dies

random poem I came up with. Don't know if I like it. Do you?

Sitting in the darkened room
With many candles flickering
Mourning you

There are one thousand and thirteen flames
All flickering for every day
That I have loved you

Tomorrow there will be a new one
The day after that
And the next

I will love you forever
Even though you are gone
Living among the dead

I love you so much
I will light a new candle
Every day that I live

So I promise you
I will love you until
The last flame dies

This is utterly amazing. The subject matter, the way you handled it, word choice, the way you formatted it, priceless. My favorite part of this of course, is the title drop at the end. I am a very big fan of those and this is one of the better ones that I have seen.

The only thing I don't like is that I am so very inspired by the last stanza of the piece, that I want to write something new...and I can't use the line as the title because you've already done that. So drat on that point. Still, excellent poem. You have a gift.
