Humble Love

it was inspired by a set of wedding vows from a book (Perrin and Faile's wedding from the WoT for those who know), and some of my feelings as well.

I cannot speak you poetry
Nor place you in a ballad great.
No songs will through your windows soar,
Nor shall I strut straight to your door.
I may not be what they call brave,
But from my fear, you could me save.
For I will do as best I can,
As one expects from any man.
So here's my best, to you I give:
        My love is yours, while I do live.

Wonderful notions of how love can make you strong ... I must admit, I do find the rhyme a bit forced here and there, but, hey, that�s just me! ... and in any case, that doesn�t change the sentiment of the piece. xxx
