The Price of LoveA Poem by Kathleen Burlas
All these years I've lived in this earth
I've seen how people pay for the price of love Such waiting and hurting, such pain and suffering Maybe Love is really that great and holy It can't be bought nor be stolen away falling tears and breaking hearts Stolen kisses and blushing cheeks They all make up for the price of love we seek Love is within our reach No matter how many pennies are in our pockets It only depends upon the voices of our sincere hearts Mellowing our desires to pay for its price -Kathleen L.
