Dreams Like Flowers

Dreams Like Flowers

A Poem by sonyaroo
"

because i felt like it paint your words on silence

"

A City

Full to the brim

Cuts into the night sky

Like you never felt that

Rush of pain

Like perfection on your face

A stutter

A ruin

Pasted together with scraps of dead hair

Like I care

You never came to rescue me

Like you don’t remember

A wormhole

Through the rotten apples

Or space itself

Like maybe it was all a joke

A sick, sick joke

Like that wasn’t your name

A father

To my universe

Or a mother

Like Gods and goddesses fell

And crumpled as a newspaper

Like a sign

A stop sign

Symbolic of things I can’t quite recall

Poison or otherwise

Like you never wondered

How it tastes

Like you never wanted to die

A discovery

Because the world has edges

Everyone knows

Like I have a purpose

Like it matters

Like you forgot me long ago

Wow, no one has reviewed this wonderful poem...just breath taking poetry you wrote here. I Loved the metaphors used in your poem just brought grit, yet a touch of elegance to your wording.
