Today....

Today is the day I'll feel the sun on my face

I'll walk with my head in the clouds

I'll know what it's like to be happy again

After all, nothing's weighing me down.

Today is the day I'll have song in my heart

Be assured you will hear it for miles

I won't be able to keep it inside anymore

Guarantee there'll be nothing but smiles.

Today is the day, life has changed for me

It's not full of the sorrow and strife

The person I was has ceased to be 

I'm much happier now in my life.

So thank you for making today the day

I've awaited this day for so long

I owe you a mountain of gratitude

Because once again you have proven me wrong.

I'm glad to be back, I'm glad to be me

There's nothing that I cannot do

I'll thank my lucky stars everyday

For today I forgot about you.
