The Thought of You

When I think of you I can't resist

To smile from ear to ear,

My thoughts run wild, unrestrained 

At the thought of having you near.

The sound of your voice brightens my day

I can't wait til I hear it again,

Just the words from your lips, "how was your day?"

Makes me happy to know you're my friend.

It's hard to say how I feel inside

When we're sitting face to face,

Just know I cherish my time with you

I wouldn't trade it for any other place.
