Happiness

You're back in my life or so it seems

If only for a day

The excitement I feel within my heart

It just won't go away.

It's been a year since I've seen your face

The memories I can't shake

To have you back I'll pull out the stops

I'll do whatever it takes.

Your smile, your eyes, the way you'd laugh

Your warm and gentle touch

The way you'd ask "How was your day?"

I miss it all so much.

There's someone for everyone, or so they say

I use to think it's true

I believed it up until the day...

The day that I lost you.

I still believe with all my heart

That we were meant to be

I'll believe it til the day I die

That together we should be.
