True loveA Poem by smurfett
I love you he said, as he patted my head
It's been a long day, you coming to bed? Such is the life of a common law wife The tension at times you could cut with a knife. Where once love did live, my heart I would give To watch memories fall out through a bottomless sieve. I'll speak not a peep, but go quickly to sleep For when morning time comes, It's me he will keep.
