Rebirth in Ignorance

Rebirth in Ignorance

A Poem by Stefon Napier

A hand with fingers dipped in the sky

A selfish being

For loneliness or longing

Shouldn't there be something to keep me grounded?

To have stars adorn my fingers

The moon in my hand

To wear a robe of constellations

Means the only light is in darkness

To be that selfish

Who keeps emptiness to themselves?

A black hole in the dark

hiding behind the sky

Seeing only as low as tree tops

 Ah,if onlyto be ignorant again

It feels like there's nothing keeping me grounded

But my feet are standing firm

And I remember the days when it was just feeling alone
