Scraps of America

Scraps of America

A Poem by Stefon Napier

Handed over a dollar

Given bread, a little thing

But people are multitudes

A majority but not enough

So when frugal days outnumber nights

I think of how the dollar overwhelms us

I think this is a fabulous political and social commentary on the state of our economy. There is so much for so few and so little for the multitudes. Bravo!

Poem open the door to question. So many people are struggling. Money control our world and thoughts. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
