People say your dying everyday
I walk down the street, frankly amused
There are bad sidewalks sure
but as long as there are dollar stores.....

I was ten once
I remember it
So that means I'm still ten
And nowhere near dying.

This is very thought provoking and you are so talented. I wish I could write short pieces like this. Its truly amazing how much this piece makes sense and how much it is still a mystery. Strefon has proved in the poems I have read that he is verty talented. Really like the unusual syntax of the first line, that stopped me in my tracks, then the matter-of-fact imagery turned round by the strong, dramatic last stanza. Excellent !
