The House Where I DwellA Poem by Scott SFor my wife, who has always been there for me.
The house where I dwell
Tis quiet today
As I glance out my window
I see robins at play
Not a breath of a wind
Wisps of clouds overhead
Thoughts of my lover
Afloat in my head
The house where I dwell
Is solace to me
A divine sanctuary
Where a “he” meets a “she”
Whispers and touches
Laughter and joy
A wife so beloved
God’s gift to this boy
The day passes quickly
As she walks through the door
A partner for always
For rich or for poor
While the night gently calls
And the stars cast their spell
There lie peace and devotion
In the house where I dwell
