Struggles

We all go through tough times

Foggy dawn- scrambled thoughts arise

Another day is sometimes hard to survive

From what has been, and what's to come

Where will life go- what will be the sum?

Look a yonder into the glow

A rising sun tells me what I already know

Persevere- fight the fight

Sail strong as a rising kite

Life brings struggles, sometimes without reason

Take a breath- endure the season

Live with purpose- keep your drive

Struggles prove that you're alive

Author's Note

I have taken quite a lengthy hiatus from the Cafe, and it is really interesting to see how your writing changes, if you don't write regularly. I'm looking forward to getting back on track.

There's determination and optimism here, always worthy traits. Your poetry and prose used to flow, here's hoping it does again very soon; you've certainly posted pieces i don't remember!

You're quite right, we all have tough times. This tells so well of the feeling of hopelessness we all sometimes feel when everything seems to go a bit more south then usual. And then comes the unavoidable truth: Gotta push on, what else am I gonna do?
Like there's a choice. lol
Just life.
I really like this, it so miserable, even in it's optimism that it's exactly my taste. :)
