Trapped

This is a song about a hopeless man getting lost in his own thoughts, questioning reality itself.

As I sit in the darkened room

My pupils are spreading in vain.

My eyes being open or closed:

I confuse my thoughts for dreams.

 

I turn on the light to make sure I am there.

The light hurts my eyes and my pupils shrink.

Changing my reality, going nowhere.

I find it hard when it's easy to see...

 

Suddenly I realize how hard I breathe.

My common sense tells me to blame the air.

I open the window and lift up the shades,

But what I am seeking is no longer there...
