Apathy

Apathy

A Poem by Sage Kallen

Glassy sky my finger tips trace.
Tears stream a river that can't be contained.
Forest whisper words of my heart.
I'm lost in time,
I see, I hear!
The words you say are foreign in my head.
The world I see is blurry.
It all fades black.
Can I be heard?
Can I be seen?
The earth it screams.
Agony all around draped in beauty.
You idiots! do you not see this demise or are we all incapable to change a single thing?
Let it burn I sing.
I have nothing left to offer anyways.
The forest scream.
The river dries.
The glass sky cracks.
Fade black my heart there is nothing left here for us.
I refuse to down sweet laced lies
I won't accept a package wrapped neetly.
Don't deceive me! I've grown cold of your games.
Amuse me or taste my disdain.
I loathe your fake unadulterated smiles.
Devour me already I know you long to taste.
But even you cannot hold down the bitter liquids I oose.
Play the game.
I'll move the pieces. I don't fight back much.
I'll decay, just like this world you neglected.
Watch me rot and choke on your ego
Look the other way let's pretend we are all alright
