Wanting Me Back

It's so hard to contemplate
On my non-returnable past
So I have the future to think about
And this thing that might last

I would've never dreamt
If I knew I would go through this
And now as I look back
It's myself who I really miss

I'm sorry for wanting everything
But not wanting to work
But now that I'm getting it all
I feel nothing now but hurt

Now I'm not the same person
That I used to be
And to know what I mean
You have to look and see

I don't want this anymore
And I'm so sorry for that
But I want what I want
And I'm wanting me back
