Death~prin~BirthA Poem by Sophy FreebirdsCrushed before the bloom
Hey Mumma!!
I felt your warm hands cover me up. Daddy presses his ear, against your stomach; I kick your walls gleefully. My longing eyes to perceive colours hopefully Yearning skin to feel the wind ,so chilly.. The doctor covers you with a cold gel .. I don' t like how it feels.. He whispers something to daddy; I am taken to a place so fuzzy!! Wh...what is it Mumma....??? Its.. Awful!! Don't leave me alone.. Pl....please,I feel so.... cold.. I am desperately trying to, Keep my eyes open. I scream, but my soundless voice Returns as echoes from the bay... The light of life is slowly; Ebbing away..... Good bye Mumma.... I hope you see a better day. My breath is snatched on this earth Just before my very birth... Being a tender branch thrown To the unquenchable fire.. Which burns my soul eternally; How could you abandon me so brutally. I would have been a flame My whole life,Like a votive lamp... Killing me then, you would have Discerned the oblivious darkness... In my damp absence Worshipping goddess Artemis; Woe to you hypocrites!! Giving the beggars alms; You cut down my arms.!!! With my punishing arrow; I will avenge my sorrow... Just because i was a girl; You extinguished me in womb. I am restlessly eager; Awaiting your impending doom. © 2014 Sophy FreebirdsAuthor's Note
