If I loved you I'd tell you

If I loved you I'd tell you

A Poem by Soren

My friend loved whiskey

It destroyed his liver and kidney

A lioness that had lost its cub adopted a gazel

When it wasn't looking, to other lions it fell

I'm your whiskey and lioness

My very nature is your distress

A bad tooth, a gangrenous arm

must be removed to prevent further harm

You show how even though something appears to be good, it can do harm in the long run... such as whiskey being great to alleviate stress and make people feel good in the moment, but slowly damaging them from inside. If you love somebody you wouldn't hurt them, but all of these example can hurt the person in the long run... does this imply that love hurts? Interesting concept!
