Lullaby

Lullaby

A Poem by Soren

Oh little child, so tender and sweet

Come, lift me off my feet

Build me a swing, push me high

My head through a noose, I'll swing till I die

The wind blows a chill

Now my body's so still

Are you cold?

Let me you enfold

From dust was my birth

Tuck me in, with a blanket of earth

Sleep little child

So tender and mild

What a lullaby. The images send a chill through me. What a contrast between the sweet, child sleeping and the death scene.
