Time

Time

A Poem by Soren

How beautiful the day, now comes the sun to tell another story

how green the grass does lay, bowing to the king in all his glory

Time flies on its predestined way, an old man now bent and hoary

Blessed be the night, that so softly descends

stars that shine so bright, as its journey wends

how quickly its flight, it seems that time it bends

I hear the breeze blow, on its wings I'm pinned

The seasons come and go, flying like leaves in the wind

new life, heat, then snow, in my shadow I ask have I sinned?

' Time flies on its predestined way, an old man now bent and hoary ' Such a great metaphor! Soren, you create thought, setting the reader on a new path 'longside your stanzas!

Waving, thanking you!
Indeed, it does fly, and faster as you age. It's as you say, predestined. That's why it's important to dwell in the present moment as much as possible. Watching time and change will drive you to drink.
PS: You have an unnecessary apostrophe in verse 3.

Honest, wonderful and powerful thoughts shared Soren.

The above lines. I have questions myself. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.
