A Poem by Soren

Crawling before walking through this garden of life

I learned to run and jump with joy

Spring's sunshine blossoms overcoming strife

Each day unwrapping a new toy

In summer's glow fruit did grow

Love's sap filled my limbs

My seeds falling to the ground below

sprouting new life where hope begins

In fall winds I stumbled and fell

storms my branches broke

Approaching dark skies tell

of future's approaching icy stroke

With snows, bowed unable to stand,

bent again I crawl on knees and hand,

laying prostrate on barren land,

awaiting spring's coming demand

I often find myself longing for the springtime, though winter down here is not all that terrible, spring brings the flowers and the shrubs back to lief, it brings color to the trees and the fields and well...I just happen to really like spring but I also just happen to really like your poem my friend. Happy Spring Soren.

Thanks Will for the review and most kind words good to hear from you. Your comment is appreciated.
Such fine meter plus - line by line, moves season to season , perfectly visual. Seems that you have also gone with different stages of life.. displayed clearly and with feeling. The following stanza is immensely graphic it touches the heart..

'With snows, bowed unable to stand,
bent again I crawl on knees and hand,
laying prostrate on barren land,
awaiting spring's coming demand'
