Covered in a dream

A Poem by Soren

I pulled on a cobweb and the roof fell in

covered in bats dust and rats

Roaches and spiders in a coal bin

now come the gnats

Inside my shirt a fly did flirt

with the hairs on my chest

Out of a sore a millipede did squirt

joining in with the rest

I scratched at the fleas

My mouth full of worms wouldn't let me scream

The gooey filth of a sneeze

wrapped in a child's dream

Dear Soren!
This was such a fun poem to read.
Loved the first verse the most but enjoyed each one so much!
This was a very delectable dream and the millipede squirting out of a sore was just yummy and delicious! The gooey sneeze comes a close next!
I love that you write on such a myriad of things, always. So appreciated!

Einstein Noodle

yeow! what a nightmare, Soren ... there are a few dreams that woke me as a child so terrifying i remember them still; but never with such a corpse like vision of my conscious self ... yikes!!

ps. not five minutes ago as i sat at my computer, i felt some "crawling" thing on my ankle and rubbed at it with my other foot and received such an intense and burning bite, i thought it must be some wicked spider ... (we have plenty of brown recluse here in the forests) i was actually relieved to see it was a wasp that had gotten in and stung me ... that insect woke me up faster than my second cup of coffee and snapped me into the very real world of mine ... i would have appreciated it were a fly or millipede, or even some wormy magot ;)
