It is what it is

It is what it is

A Poem by Soren

A law that governs all

there's entropy in a fall

you can see it in an aging face

it pervades collapsing space

There's no going back in time

Words dissolve in written rhyme

All life begins and ends

A rule that never bends

Syntropy it seems

is built on a child's dreams

Love flowers and grows

soon to be covered in building snows

in a frozen world dead

stone pillows for our head

Dreams too melt away

with the breaking warmth of day

Everything renews and no change is permanent; rather life is transformed for the benefit of more life. The earth wastes nothing. But if I must burn out and rot I'd like to do it with half the glory of an Autumn maple bursting in flames of color before my final leaves are stripped away. Change can be glorious.

Well-Titled, well phrased.
The old ax, 'life is what we make it,' echoes in my head.
