A bad rap(tor)?

A bad rap(tor)?

A Poem by Soren

The vulture a noble beast
as a garbage collector it does feast on deceased
It carries an ignoble name
historically cloaked in shame
Noncombative it flees
eating flesh and bones keeping us from disease
Head of red a social bird
A lifetime mate is preferred
A better parent no other
Egyptian epitome of a mother

I have learned a lot about the vulture family which I did not know about before I read your very finely inked poem, dear poet. Wonderful how the vulture loves only one and only love. I so admire them for that. Love the perfect swing, rhythm and rhyme of the poem as it effortlessly flies down the page. Love that the vultures are perfect parents. Love the true facts presented also within the poem. A very lovely, informative write which I so enjoyed reading. Excellent write! Thank you for sharing, dear poet...

Vultures are really like crows. They clean dead from the earth. They are messengers of Lord of Death. Nicely written
