Ripples

Ripples

A Poem by Soren

Capillary waves  in circles from a stone cast in a pond
spread their influence through the mirror
Distorted reflections of creation's bond
bringing nature's wonders nearer

Watery echoes heard near and far long after they disperse
Rock now buried in an aqueous muddy grave
its jostle of leaves and fish diverse
In the book of the universe its memory it does engrave

A stone cast into a pond causes many ripples to extend outwardly from it and it is the same when a stone is cast in the pond of life, it affects people instead of water and distorts other people's view of them unlike the reflections in the pond which brings home to the viewer the wonders of nature. An excellently penned contrast.
In life the echoes spread far and near as they disperse and it takes a very long time before they are buried in the minds of those who hear them. In the Book of The Universe, the memory is engraved, it will be remembered forever.
Wow! Mind-blowing write, in depthly penned and a very visual allegorical gem. Wondrous write! Thank you for sharing, dear poet... So enjoyed reading, though I have no doubt whatever my analogy is incorrect, please forgive me...
