Never a bad reminder that all news comes with an angle and it's carefully curated and presented to give the exact impression that someone wants it to have. The imagery here is great as well, especially in a rather limited number of lines. I enjoyed reading this.

1)Excellent use of metaphor and depiction. The second verse reminds me of Covid and how "The broom of time emptied bloody rooms" and the occupants possessions were stored in their locker until they were collected by their loved ones.
The first verse then reminds me of Covid also. The sweeping, cleaning, dusting, sanitising, disinfecting of everything which was touched in order to kill the bacteria, if it was there, and try to control the spread of Covid.
2) Both verses could relate to the actual "News" we see on tv each evening. The news that day is polished to be presented to the reader, even the goriest of stories is scrubbed clean, rinsed and disinfected before being read. The broom of time (I adore that expression) leaves a job well done in its wake, so the cold harsh facts are presented in a soft way to the viewer.
I truly have NO idea what the subject of your amazingly penned poem is, Soren. My review is a botched job I know and I ask your kind forgiveness, dear friend...

Marie I thank you from the depths of my heart for your reads and interpretations. I have stated before that there is no wrong interpretation to my poems for I believe that the value of a poem is not in its intended meaning but what the reader draws from it. When I first started this piece I was thinking of emptiness alone but then came the idea of how the media and governing entities sweep away all that they do not what us to know and how this is presented in a sanitized redacted version of truth leaving polished cleanliness and all the bloody truth stored away out of eye. This could apply to the Covid issue as well as many others. Thank you so much for the read and interpretation it is deeply valued
