Bonsai

Bonsai

A Poem by Soren

Green sprout, easily bent
grows rigid, as a tree
Changing its course
so much effort spent
shaping into desired beauty

All said and done, you think you've won
but no matter what you see
for all changes made under the sun
it's still a tree

i'm a japanese person but i'm not sure if i ever even seen a bonsai. haha. but like all japanese artforms, it's not about what you are doing it is about the concentration you put into it. the tree is a tool to help you maintain that stillness of mind. but it is just a tree.

not that i know anything about bonsai.

So perceptive like a poem which can be that same tool and is what you put into it or even a person t.. read more
You have captured the beautiful Bonsai (which I love) and how easily it is shaped into the desired shape which enhances its beauty and appearance. The second stanza has been inked with great wit as the poet tells the reader that regardless of all the changes which can be made to a Bonsai, it remains a tree! Lovely! I love this poem, Soren and so enjoyed reading it. Thank you for sharing...
