The fly

The fly

A Poem by Soren

A fly's confusion is rehearsed as its direction is reversed
Only one thing on its mind, someone to annoy or to blind
Perseverant buzzing sings, from translucent talking wings
Pleasant conversation interrupts, ripe fruits corrupts

Deceptive rainbows on its head, spreading essence of the dead
Returning to where it did begin, stinging bite under your skin
Flying viper with six legs, in your food lays its eggs
In every friendly group, there's a fly in the social soup

The last line is significant. There is at least one fly on W/C.

Definitely not you.
if only there had not been a fly in that transporter...
"Help me, help me."

The fly never even knew how poetic it was.

Thanks jacob I can deal with flies with a fly swater but human flies are a different problem. Thanks.. read more
A really fun poem that is darkly humorous. the longer lines add a layer of irony. the persona has a lot to say on this subject. a fly, a living thing that knows no other way to exist, annoys and disrupts us humans. yet the final line adds a very sardonic twist. pests come in all shapes and sizes. very intelligent.
