Hole

Hole

A Poem by Soren

I came to the edge of love, in a hole drunken did fall
A wall, up which I can not crawl
Rock echoes talk, on tablets of clay
Chalk words of scrawl dissolved in light of day

Stone trap without a map
Daylight stars their story tell
Solo climb heart’s peak and gap
In a nap of time at the bottom of a well

you have somehow turned heartbreak into a gritty adventure story. that is quite extraordinary. instead of the persona's emotions, we get muscular action and a dirty setting. while he is not to be envied, there is something heroic about him. a simple mistake lands him at the bottom of a well, but survival instincts kick in and he seems determined to climb out. there's an exciting drama playing out.

I might say dear Soren that you were drunk with love, or in love.....and thought the cosmos was enlightening, since they might have been in some way, you sill couldn't overcome the well, so you took a nap of dreams of smiles, feeling light and easy ,carefree, and hopeful...at some point you will awaken into the arms of your beloved....
Warmly, B
