What happened to beauty?A Poem by SorenGum chewed only, to be spit out The cheap and shiny soon to be discarded Of quality poured in a draught of a drought Lasting beauty disregarded Disposable values pile high on a garbage heap Today's heroes become tomorrow's trash Old spouses we don't keep Hell... even gold they turned into cash Today's sun will soon depart Replaced by the glow of a street light Now black quenched embers of stars, as they part Beauty's eyes gouged out in a technological fight
