Pebbles

Pebbles

A Poem by Soren

Poems lost in a snowman melted
A log burned, pages lost
Rocks crushed, iron smelted
A meal eaten, teeth flossed

A sandcastle washed away
Ice sculpture melted
A song sung where echoes won't stay
Leave ripples like a pebble pelted

Growing ripples, starting small that disturb the balance

I wonder how many poems we would have had had not all of this happened to them.
I had quite a few in that sand castle...should have known it would be washed away.

I think poetry is meant to disturb the balance...our voices are reaching out hoping to do just that, and possible create a new balance that really is level on both sides....with politics, with economic backgrounds, race....we are all people...we all burn, we all melt, we all get crushed...and we all leave ripples.
