What is a poet?

A dreamer, a word schemer

A drifter on winds of thought, in a deep ink well of not 

Held by reigns of paper chains

A believer a deceiver

A sooth, a teller of truth

Eyes that see, beauty in debris

One that sleeps, one that weeps

A vender of time, a mender of rhyme

A story teller, a giant feller, a hope seller

He rides upon sun rays, lives beyond days

A fisher of emotions on ink's dark oceans
