Head of wheat

Head of wheat

A Poem by Soren

One Seed planted in the earth, place of birth, sensing warmth of the womb
Drinking rain's milk, bursts a thread of silk, raising from the tomb
In a bed of the dead rooted, bread of life shooted, an umbilical vine
Giving power, a flower to flour, from the shrine of a divine design
Stolen gold its treasure's unfold, in sacrifice beheaded
Bound uncrowned, head ground, into our food of life embedded
