Slumbering light

Slumbering light

A Poem by Soren

A day when the sun never rose resting in darkness' throes
Hope sleeps in repose without the grace to remove its clothes
Blanketed night peacefully sleeps not feeling frost's bite that creeps
Truth's ever shining light protected from reality's cold fright weeps

a very sobering poem…. could this be dream? there seems to be no hope here….. a dark place that weeps, “ hope sleeps in repose”…..yet you are protected by truth’s” ever shining light…. away from the cold of reality….
reality is too harsh to live in…..
Warmly, B🌷🌷🌷🌷

Love the last line especially....in second line, did you mean "clothes"?
I like the slant rhyme used there...
