Not to smartA Poem by SorenI've seen men wrestle other men and get up again to shake the other's hand Saw a man wrestle a bear, nearly tore off his underwear, whopped him to beat the band Saw a woman wrestle an alligator, monster damn near ate 'er and she was strong as a tree But never though that I'd take on such a beast, nature's fury released against humanity One day looking at the street I saw a rattlesnake , about six feet, crawling across my lawn So grabbed my rake to pin down that snake, before he would be gone He started to twist and spin I thought he would get away again, a better way had to be found When I grabbed him behind his head, I thought it might be me that would be dead, we wrestled all over the ground Just when things were looking grim I got the best of him, cut his head off clean as could be Most men that wrestle these critters are only half witters so what does that make me?
