Equal but not the sameA Poem by SorenWith a flower build a house, a guard dog in the form of a mouse Drive a nail made of thread, sew with a needle formed from the mattress of a bed A father now a mother, a sister turns into a brother A doubt now devout, nature turned inside out When does a woman become a man? Both cooked in the same pan The recipe differs just a bit, one with sugar one with grit Is the cake jealous of the meat? Does the potato envy the sweet? With our appetite both we eat, without either the meal's not complete All desire what they are not, so with a lie a delusion is bought Both grass and stones deserve respect, neither gender without defect So if a flower serves for your abode or a mattress point for clothes sewed Use thread that's nail hard and let a mouse be your guard
