Magic show

Magic show

A Poem by Soren

Life a magic show, we appear out of nothing
For the eye too quick
Diversions from what is coming
Knowing but not wanting to believe it's a trick
Reality a slight of hand
Hidden, it lies out of sight
A trap door and a mirror we don't understand
An invisible thread we don't see in a card's flight
Smoke and mirrors takes away our fears
Clouds our eyes to reveal a surprise
In a box cut in half
In a disguise, illusion parted lies
In clap and laugh lies our epitaph

Wow, this is really cool! I love how you compare life to a magic show... It feels deep and a bit haunting. The imagery is awesome and makes you think. Nice work Soren!

Thank you so much for your read and kind comment
The metaphor of life as a magic show is rich and layered, and you’ve used it brilliantly.
