Glimpses

Glimpses

A Poem by Soren

Oh frozen blackness, we are freed by a burst of warming light
How soon the sun sets taking us back to night
Oh beautiful ray of day, how quickly your flight
How bitter the taste of darkness holding us in its bite
Unloosen your bonds of pitch and tar that seal our eyes tight
And peel away skin of night revealing day in glory bright
