Seasons

A Poem by Soren

A fluffy puff, a feather's fall, the golden leaf of autumn's call
Release spring's rainbow colored haze, grasped in summer's warmer days
White frost on nature's hardened face, greeting winter in cold embrace
Dark shadow's plumes upon the ground, in naked branches no leaf is found

Sheltered on the earth below, loose remnants under fallen snow
Twigs, moss, and bits of string, to build an egg roost in the spring
Gold leaf and feather build the nest, cushion eggs beneath mother's breast
Once shelter in days of yore, now a perch from which new life will soar

'Twigs, moss, and bits of string, to build an egg roost in the spring'

For me, such fine metre that adds to the core of your poem! How I love words that both describe and obviously care about the all about. What it displays; how it takes the planet and creates different scents, differet scenes!

'A fluffy puff, a feather's fall, the golden leaf of autumn's call' Oh Yes!
